On Sunday 3 April 2011, Steven Osborne – one of Scotland’s most highly-regarded classical pianists on the international scene – performs three Schubert piano sonatas at Crear, Kilberry, PA29 6YD.
This fundraising concert is organised by arts charity Space to Create in aid of Crear’s Piano in Peril – an exceptional Steinway Model D which the Mid-Argyll venue has had the good fortune to have had on loan for a number of years.
Kate Lithgow, Crear’s Artistic Director, believes that the outstanding quality of this particular Model D has played a significant role in attracting to Mid-Argyll the numerous pianists of international standing who have visited and played the instrument since Crear first opened for concerts in 2002.
To ensure that the Model D remains at Crear in the future, the charity must raise £36,000.
The performance starts at 1500 hrs, and is followed by an optional supper provided by Crear Kitchen – the venue’s exciting collaboration with award-winning Scots chef Alan Boslem.
Tickets are priced as follows:-
Concert: Minimum donation of £22 (Under-18s free admission) Supper: £15
Note: This performance is not covered by the 2011 Friends of Crear season ticket.
Advance booking essential. Tel: 01880 770369 E: concerts@crear.co.uk
